The Mission

Went down to the Phoenix Rescue Mission Friday to see what they need from us and to find out a little more about what they do.  For those of you that don't know What the Phoenix Rescue Mission does let me tell you.  They help people and families in need.  Not just those that are homeless but families that can afford to eat are welcome too.  They serve three meals a day.  If you know or are someone that is struggling please come and join them.  The Mission also helps those that are addicted and they run an addiction recovery program.  They have a learning center to help educate and get people to sustain themselves.  These are our brothers and sisters and some have just been crushed by the economy.  We need your help.  It only costs about $2 dollars for a meal so any little bit helps.  Think about how much you spend on a night out.  That could truly help feed and save lives right here in Arizona.  I have the links at the bottom volunteer and stop hunger in the world.

This is crazy.  WE NEED TO STEP UP!!!!  Please watch the youtube videos.  They will make you realize how blessed you are and maybe motivate you to help out.  It is not just crazy people that are staving. On Tuesday September 11, 2001, at least 35,615 of our brother and sisters died from the worst possible death, starvation. Somewhere around 85% of these starvation deaths occur in children 5 years of age or younger. Why are we letting at least 30,273 of the most beautiful children die the worst possible death everyday? Every 2.43 seconds another one of our fellow brothers and sisters dies of starvation. Stop Hunger Now

We live in a country that has more than its share of good and yet we still have starving people.   While I am writing this I have a bag of chip that I am eating because it’s there.  I am in pure comfort and I am complaining to my wife that I have too much homework.  I make myself sick.  What do I have to complain about?  There are children starving to death everyday and I am complaining.  We may not be able to stop hunger by ourselves but together we can.  It’s time we look around us and start to take what we have been blessed with to those less fortunate souls.  We in Arizona can be an example to other states.  We can set the standard that will change the world and defeat world hunger.  Open your heart and go to this link for the upcoming events that you can be part of.
